Sunday 30 November 2014 Paris

What can I say about Paris...
It was (and very much still is) one of the most eloquent, beautiful and prosperous cities I have visited.
We arrived at our hostel, situated along the Rue de Belleville, perfectly timed for Bastille Day - 14th July.

We quickly made friends with other travellers in our hostel kitchen, bought a couple of bottles of prosecco, jumped onto the metro and walked along the promenade of the Seine to watch the Bastille Day fireworks; a magical memory.

The following day we quickly had a Café au Lait and crossiant in a little place near our hostel, to kick start our day full of sightseeing. We went from the Sacré-Couer to the L'
Arc de Triomphe, walked down the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and stopped off in a pizza restaurant. We then continued to see the Louvre and lastly, onto the Notre-Dame.
That evening, we had drinks with everyone at the hostel and went onto a nearby bar. Everyone was so great and it definitely brought us all together... So much so we all planned to head to see inside the Louvre the following day. Although we were supposed to visit the Palace of Versailles later on in that day, but as it is just outside of Paris, we totally ran out of time and had to head back.

In the evening, a couple of good friends, Phoebe and I went on to see the Eiffel Tower twinkling at night  - It was exquisite.
