Monday 26 November 2012 Forget-me-not

The Forget-me-Not ball was held on saturday evening, which raised over Forty thousand pounds for a charity which I hold dear to my heart: The Bradley Watson Foundation.

This charity was founded by great family friends who tragically lost their son in a road accident, four days after his ninth birthday.

For what would have been Bradley's 21st Birthday, The Bradley Watson Foundation was created and aims to "raise funds to help and support young people and children with cancer... in many ways but with the emphasis, always, on having FUN."

Of course, The Forget-me-Not Ball certainly did not fall short of this aim.

After Dinner and Drinks there was an auction and raffle (you will see what my family and I won below), and then a modern motown/soul band played until the early hours.

Overall, the evening was fantastic.

I was so astounded and moved by the generosity of the family and friends who attended the event, whilst also having such a fantastic time dancing with them!

1. What I wore to the event. The dress code was black tie, and thankfully due to ASOS next day delivery, I was able to wear this gorgeous backless dress. I wore it with my rose gold Michael Kors watch and Sydney Evans bracelet with a pair of nude skyscrapers, from Aldo, on my feet.

2. My parents won these really cute owl cushion and doorstopper set from from Sass and Belle. After some persuasion, I was able to convince them that it would be more fitting in my room. (hehe ^.^)

3. This is what I won: a leaf blower. Although it caused many laughs (on my behalf) and could have been an amazing christmas present for my Dad, it soon became a great part of the entertainment.

4. These bracelets were made by the charity founder's daughters, and were sold throughout the evening. They are actually really pretty - I love the Forget-me-not flower charm!

I am so proud to know such an amazing and strong family - I had an amazing time! xxx
